International Women’s Day 2014
I don’t usually care about this day, but this year I decide to celebrate and honour some of the singers I admire.
Want to celebrate her voices, their lyrics and the amazing human beings they are! And no, I don’t think they are perfect and I don’t put them in a pedestal.
And that’s why I admire them, because they could be rock stars, but in the end they are normal people like us. They cry, laugh, have flaws and problems, which they surpass by writing songs that helps other people.
So, this is my tribute to these and to all the others women I didn’t include in here!

The Woman Who Inspires Me The Most:
Maria Brink → In This Moment
I could never fully put into words how much this woman inspires me on a daily basis. It has nothing to do with the genre of music she sings. Most of all, I love her for her humanity - for the kind of person she is away from the limelight. Her perseverance throughout all of the hardships she’s faced is so inspiring to me. Her fervent belief in herself is what, to me, sets her apart from the rest. “Believe” is not just a catchy slogan that she has tattooed across her knuckles. It’s a way of life, and she lives and breathes it every single day. And it serves as a reminder to myself that I can do anything. That I have the power to manifest my own destiny.
Every breath’s a gift, we don’t know what tomorrow holds.
